| The annual Royal City Multicultural Festival showcases the diversity and rich heritage brought by each participant, with pride, into a country that is so well known for embracing the treasures of multiculturalism. It celebrates our cultural diversity and gives the public the opportunity to get familiar with the culture, traditions, ethnic food and entertainment of other canadian residents. The festival includes arts, crafts, history, culture, food and entertainment from all over the world along the boardwalk next to the picturesque Fraser River and inside the New Westminster Quay Market. When the event winds down, crowds start gathering for the fireworks display at dusk, which marks the beginning of the week long Hyack Festival.
The event is co-sponsored by the New Westminster Quay Market, Fraser River Discovery Centre, the New Westminster Newsleader, the City of New Westminster and the Downtown New Westminster BIA. |
